[SOLVED] What's the folder Steam/appcache for?
Over here: http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3240945
I got this issue, and apparently deleting that folder might solve it.
However, that thread's a bit old, so I'm wondering if it's still a viable solution.

Just a cache for files. Nothing critical to Steam's operating. Delete it if you think it'll help, anything inside that Steam needs will just be made again.
