BSoD error: DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION
Hello everyone! I'm having a bit of a problem and I'm not sure how to fix it. At first I thought this was just because of my Wi-Fi/internet issues but I see that now it's not the source. I've been having this problem for a while and it happens 5 minutes after startup. In the past couple days I've ran some experiments of my own and found some things.

Disabling my internet after logging into my computer and then re-connecting doesn't cause the error so I tried downloading and saving stuff through Chrome, Edge and Utorrent. Nothing, but if I start Steam and try to download or install a game (namely GTA 5) it causes this error and restarts my PC. I have other games like Subnautica, Undertale, Please don't touch anything, etc. and they all cause no problems. I'm assuming that's because they're already installed before I started having this problem. Also I should mention it's not JUST GTA 5. This problem happens when trying to update Steam itself too.

Here is some reports from my computer to help give some more info.

https://1drv.ms/t/s!AhZCgsu3GokxhES4nOkHhyCBxgRk - System info file

https://1drv.ms/t/s!AhZCgsu3GokxhEnRmGwAGripP4Ak - Additional System report

Any help or knowledge on this is GREATLY appreciated.

Upload the crash dump from (most likely) %windir%\minidumps.

According to WinDbg, it's from stornvme.sys. May want to check out https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2897143

It keeps telling me that the update is not applicable for my system. I'm running windows 10 and it's only giving me 8.1 or windows server 2012 R2 versions of a download for it.

Still, do you have all updates installed?

From what I can tell yes. I've ran a few scans on all my drivers and so on and even gone through manually to be sure everything is up to date. Is it possible something isn't up to date but believes it is?

You should ask in the Microsoft Answers forum. There, you're way more likely to find help with that. I for example don't even have a NVMe device.

Gotcha. I'll do that. Thank you for the assistance and time you've given me thus far though :)
