Watch Dogs 2 won't start without steam even though I'm online in Uplay
Hi everyone, I had purchachased watch dogs 2 from steam and added in uplay games too by activting the code, but keeping uplay online and changing my steam account(as i have several for downloading other games) I cannot start watchdogs 2. What can be the problem? I mean its essentially ubisoft's game so if I am online via my original watch dogs 2 uplay account why won't the game start? Any solutions?
PS- I also have this other steam account authorised to run watch dogs 2 from the original steam accout and both the uplay and steam download directory is kept same to avoid any dwonload related any conflicts.

What happens when you set steam offline for that account and launch the game?

"Requires 3rd-Party Account: Uplay" this is what it says, but I already am online in uplay, isnt that enough?

Are you saying that you launched it via your Uplay library (in the Uplay client) but it keeps launching Steam?
yes exactly, it wants steam account too. I am downloading the division in my current account, I've to switch to my watchdogs 2 account now.

OK, well there's the problem.

The Steam version is actually slightly different to the Uplay download because it integrates into the Steam client. Ie. Some of the downloaded files are different.

By using the same directory for both Steam and Uplay versions you are actually *creating* a conflict.

If you launch Uplay and download Watch_Dogs 2 to the directory they suggest, I would bet money that you could play it and Steam wouldn't be launched at all.
So there's no way other than to switch over to its original account right?
