Steam censoring Mediafire links? My mod's users can no longer directly download.
The standard protocol among Crusader Kings II modders is to provide direct download alternatives for their mods, because some users do not like the subscription option. Mediafire was my approach to this, but as of recently, my Mediafirre links are removed. The links were legitimate, non-phising, virus-free, etc. etc. but is Steam not taking any chances and taking an axe to all Mediafire links now, or is it just me?

What are my alternatives? Are there different hosting providers that work with Steam? Do I upgrade my Mediafire to a paid version?

Dropbox maybe works i dunno.. just a guess.
Okay, it appears Dropbox does work. I guess I'll use that then, until maybe Steam removes those too, lol.
Mediafire has been used time and time again to spread malware on Steam. The removal was not recently either.
Yes, anything regarding Mediafire gets filtered by design.
If they keep banning the links you might need to setup a link creator like mymods.New as custom URLS won't be blocked yet.

Okay, that's weird though because mine were working until just recently and people were downloading just fine, so maybe it just took a while for Steam to notice my links before they filtered them.

Anyways, at least I'm not the only one.
