HOW CAN I TRANSFER GAME SAVE DATA TO MY NEW COMPUTER?
I downloaded and played a game on my old pc. I then got a new one and downloaded and logged into steam on it. I installed all the games that were in my library, but for one of them, the save data for the game wasn't there. I had to start over. Any advice?

Can you tell us which game it was?
It may not have been a cloud supported game, or cloud-support may have been disabled.

Try this. Browse to your library.
Right-Click on the game, then from the dropdown menu, select 'Properties'.

Select the Updates tab, and see if Enable Steam Cloud syncronization has been checked.

To transfer your game's data you can copy the save files from the older computer onto a flash drive and then drag the save files onto your new computer in the games save folders. Next time to backup your saves you can use the steam cloud to transfer to other computers.

This is what you gotta do. The saves can usually be found in your C/documents/games folder.
Many slightly different places in the Documents & Documents\MyGames folders.

The game is Araya. I went to the properties like you said, but there was nothing there about steam cloud. I'm guessing it's not supported?

If there isn't an Enable Steam Cloud checbox located under the Updates tab, it may not be. I've been trying to find more about it, but without being able to filter comments on the store-page, I'm unable to discern if anyone else has had issues with cloud-support through Araya. Google didn't turn up much eathier.

I've experienced this with some other games. You may be able to petition for support by messaging the game's Development team.
