Controller for COD Modern Warfare 2

I recently bought COD MW2 for my steam account and I have a wired xbox controller, although it does not work when I play the game. I have it all set up and everything and it works in big picture mode although once I get into MW2 it just does not work and it doesn't allow me to use the controller. I've seen a video on youtube that its possible that you could use controller to play it on steam but someone please reply asap I'm trying to play this game, thanks.

If you wanna use a controller i suggest you buy a console.. just learn to use the keyboard :P

Haha I got a PS4, only problem is that it doesn't have MW2 and I'm trying to play one of the best games every created aha

Modern Warfare 2 on PC does not have any controller support. There are tools that emulate mouse and keyboard input through a controller, but their efficiency is not that great and in multiplayer you would give yourself a massive handicap. A noob with mouse&keyboard would roflstomp you.

not so many fps offers controller suport,i sugest you get the console counterpart if you want to play with controllers,also you will be in severe disadvantage against the keyboard/mouse users in pc.

It's annoying to have no controller support for one reason and one reason only. Movement! If I want to move slow I have to tap tap tap, which is tedious tedious tedious.

Might be better in ways, not disputing. You're just happy for a win for mouse and keyboard users!
