Does the key inside the cover say what the key is for? Maybe it's some other key?
Check the whole packaging for any keys you missed.

Like we said if the key in your box is the only one truly isn't working refer to the page we linked. Go back the store and explain them your situation. If they can't help you then contact capcom.
Was the box sealed when you bought it?
First double check if the zeros are actually Os or something.
If it would have been a duplicate key then it would be harder to refund for them since they can't tell if you used it or not.
This is easier for the store to understand.
