Problem with The Orange Box disc installation.
Quick summary, had a very old account I'd originally installed the Orange Box on, email account and phone's long gone (honestly don't even remember which username I'd used at the time), and now that I'm trying to install it on my current steam account I can't activate it since the key was used on my old account. I have absolutely no way to get into the old account, but I do still have the installation disks in my hand as I'm typing this and would just like to download my game. Any help is appreciated in advance; I would contact steam, but the only info I could find is an address, and at this point I'm very tempted to even try sending a letter in order to contact them.

You can't redeem it again or transfer it to the new account. The only thing you can do is contact Steam Support to have them help you regain access to your old account.

Good, the CD key can be used as proof, so they can help you.

There isn't any way to contact steam that I could find, the ticket links have been taken down and to my knowledge there isn't any support number

Don't know what you're seeing, there's no "Contact Steam Support" Button on that page, doing Ctrl+F isn't showing any results for it either.

Using a browser log out of Steam, then use help.steampowered.com to recover the account.

Like I said, that old email and phone are long gone. I'm not even sure if Aol is still a thing, haven't seen one of those addresses in ages.

Doesn't matter if they're long gone or not. That's how you recover it. There's an option for no access to phone/email.

The CD key should be enough to prove to Steam Support that you own the account. Then they can help you recover it.

Maybe I've been wording this a bit weird, but I have zero recollection of any of those old details, the last time I used that account was nearly 10 years ago.

But there's no way to directly contact steam support, the closest I'd come to a contact was a discontinued email and a postal address.

You was already told you might not need those old details as the cd key you currently have might be enough information.
Contact steam support as mentioned beforehand. Be aware it could take a while for them to reply.

I think I'm just not saying this right, but the only thing I remember about my old steam account was that it existed, I'd used my key to The Orange Box on it, and it had a few other games. I don't remember anything else, I don't even remember what my tag name was back then. When going through the process described, you need either the account name, phone number, or email. I don't remember any. The only thing I have to connect me to that account is my physical installation disks and the key to them.

No other details might matter if you have the original printed CD key... Support may be able to find the account from that alone.

But there's no support... their email isn't actively monitored any more and tickets can't be sent either.
Anyone have a way to contact Steam?

Use a Browser that is not already logged in to a Steam account...
