Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines Hallowbrook hotel firemage won't appear
I am currently playing a mission in Hallowbrook hotel, killing all the Sabbat and I have reached a room with blue fire everywhere. At first I was at a loss because no doors opened and there was no enemy to fight, only flames and those blue beams, so I did some "research" and found out that there is supposed to be a Tremere mage there who you have to kill, but my enemy seems to have cold feet, because as I mentioned before, there is noone there. I tried playing from previous area to that point, but nothing changed. Any ideas?

Do you have the fanpatch installed? The base game off the store is VERY buggy and possibly broken. Be warned that should you try fixing it with the fanpatch, you WILL need to restart.

If you did install the fanpatch and refused to restart, bugs and issues will occur as well.

Also, this should have gone to the game forums than here if I'm right.

If you are referring to the unofficial patch, then yes, I have installed that.

Did you restart your entire game after? As in, new game and not load an old save? Also, try loading a further back save assuming you did keep those+saved VERY often.

The last route is to figure out the triggers for that level and do it in the console, I can't help you with that though since I only really do that thing for a certain early mission in which I hate the jumpscary nature of it. >_>

Went back in saves, didn't work. Are there really no other solutions to try before starting a whole new game? Because it is kinda 20 hours from start to where I am now and I don't feel like doing it all again. Console says "module has no attribute IsIdling" and "module has no attribute genderTremere"

This sounds as if there is a problem with Python code. You can always just noclip your way out of the room when you already know how to use the console...

Alright, would you mind telling me how to noclip out of the room?

Just use noclip in the console. I forgot what was the counterpart. Should be same as most Source game since same engine. Edit: Add a 1/0 after. Noclip 1 to turn on, noclip 0 to turn off. Do note it might not help if the triggers are completely stuck.

You don't need any numbers, just typing "noclip" makes you able to fly through walls and doors. The door you need to float through is the one of the left side of the big staircase up to the mage.
