Yes
yeah. just the CPU alone is enough. you can even plug your monitor(s) in your motherboard slot and you will still get 150+fps

I think he means CS:GO, Dota 2 or some similar games that's not so hard for user's PC...
I HAVE A I7-6700K and it runs rust np 350fps avg on high settings

If you hadn't already bought it for a budget I would had suggested the G4560 instead which is even cheaper but very similar though it lack AVX capability which I don't know how important it is.
To the defence of the i3 it has support for that if it would matter.
I may also think an i5 like even the 7400 would be more suitable for the GTX 1060 but it also cost more so .. And for the same price whatever to go i5 + GTX 1050Ti or i3 + GTX 1060 I don't have an obvious answer too. I would consider the graphics card pretty good but the i3 also work well for many games so. If it's in parts and not put together and you could change stuff (here in Sweden you can often change your mind within 14-30 days) then i5 could be an alternative. On the other hand maybe you think the i3 is just ok and regardless you could always sell it used and get a used i5 or i7 in the future if that's what you wanted. To sell the i3 used would mean a loss then again if the i5 or i7 you bought were also used that could end up being cheaper than buying it straight ahead.

Considering the good performance of those two parts I've kinda thought about if I should possibly buy something such rather than something more capable. I have a very weak computer CPU especially now.
My less capable AMD Phenom X4 9850 run CS:GO in 80-130 FPS with occasional frame-times down to like 0.6 seconds which is horrible. I don't know what frame-rate it run Rust in but if I were to guess I'd say 20-.. 60ish? Occassional drops to .. 4? on a server where the hammer seem to try to repair a lot of things or when destroying things or upgrading a whole building at once.

Even I can play both games but with the occasional struggle and less than decent result. You will get better results which may be decent enough.

OP clearly asked about Rust and Ark. Not a thing was said about csgo.
