Can early access games go on sale?

considering it just got released on steam as early access, I wouldn't expect a sale for the next 6 months if they ever provide a sale in early access.

I know , but I don't get money very often so I like to target things I know I want

This isn't true, a game costs more once it's out of early access, but if you buy an early access game, you don't have to buy it again once it's fully released.
