Best online FPS games for beginners.
For the longest time, I've always wanted an online FPS game that I can constantly go back too. However, since I'm not the best player, I want a game that isn't too harsh on newbies and the community isn't too toxic. I've been playing zombie shooters like Unturned and L4D2 but I've been wanting to play a traditional COD style military shooter. I was looking at Battlefield: Bad Company 2 because it was on sale but the reviews basically told me the multiplayer was dead and I shouldn't even bother. Don't care much about the campaign except for practice. Please give me your recommendations.

Play TF2's casual ladder. There's matchmaking there that will match you against people who suck just about as hard as you do and the game itself is quite simple to get started with, if you dig strategical thinking. Meaning that if you know how, you can compensate for horrible headshot skills quite easily.

bfbc2 is alive and well i still play it as do many others, ive never been unable to find a server.
get it and give it a try if its still on sale.
i wouldnt say its begginer friendly but there are no begginer friendly FPS games.
the community that i have encountered has not been that toxic, but ive heard some people complain about it ,but yet again there are no FPS/any games that dont have aholes playing them.

Warframe... the community in that game is really nice.

Counter Strike
Worst game for beginners, including Quake Live. Community toxic beyond imagination and the game itself is extremely unforgiving.

Counter strike games are to comptitve and maybe hard for starting players.

TF2 is very casual.

Download Origin and try out some of the other Battlefield games, only a select few are on Steam. If you wan't a more realistic-ish but not to hard on new players type of game as you'v described try out this : http://store.steampowered.com/app/222880/

That is why you go pre-made ;) The public lobbies that are nearby are really good.

How does that help against unforgiving gameplay?
