Where can you sell never activated game keys?
Like we have the card trading here on Steam, where can I sell unused keys to other players?

I have gotten 7 free game keys with some other purchase in December, but none of the games are in my taste. So instead of wasting them and just throw them away/activated them and never play them, I want to sell them at a lower market price.

But does such a site exist, is it safe for both me and the potentially buyer, so none of us feels cheated by me not getting my money or him/her not getting the game?

No, there is no official system that supports CD key trades. Such trades are trust-based.

This is about the safest non-official method available.

Also lets be clear you are violating the TOS of the site you got the keys from by transferring/reselling them.

It is a legally gray area at best hence no official support to do so.

Aren't there any rate-based sites then?

Can't see why it's illegal. After they gave it to me, it's mine to do with as I will.
Same thing as getting a gift in real life.

You basically don't 'own' the Game. By buying the Product you did obtained an license to use and play the Product not to (re)sell it.

But I do own that key, as it was given to me. So why should it just be thrown out, if someone else could use it.
Can't really see the difference between this, and selling a physic copy you've been gifted.

I second that, but be prepared and read all the rules and FAQs available. Also don't expect much - if a game was bundled in recent years, it would have very low trading value. Best scenario is getting rid of a game you'll never play and receiving a key for the game you'd actually play. There is no safe way of trading keys, so never trade for something you cannot afford to lose.

But the easier way would be just gifting tht keys to your friends

Then don't throw it out and instead, gift it to a friend.

Don't expect much.
The plan was selling it at 25% of the lowest marked price, as I don't have any use for it. Did this 10 years ago, when I bought a use Xbox with all the games I wasn't interested in. Just to get them in the hands of someone interested in them.

But if I can't trade them to a DLC I want, then I'll just gift them away on the 1st.

Steam store price (even if you check history of the biggest sale) means little for bundled games. And some games were given out for free in mass quantities. Most probably your keys fall into one of these two categories (though it would be easier if you listed the games) Don't expect to get actual money or marketable items for them, trading for other game keys is more realistic, if you aren't too picky
