Can't delete any game folder/files from steamapps.
I am denied permission to complete the action of deleting some files in my Steamapps folder.
I am the only user on my pc, and i have adminpermission on at all times, so why does it say that i need permission from the account im already on to delete the content?

While this could be a Windows permissions issue, depending on the exact error message, this could also be the case of an overly aggressive antivirus (or other third-party software), or a program having a lock on the files.

First try restarting your PC. Test the issue. If the issue persists, disable your antivirus. Test the issue. If the issue persists, restart your PC in safe mode. Test the issue.

What is your OS and do you have steam installed in C:\Program Files?

Make sure you have stopped all Steam processes before trying to delete, you can't delete files in-use by an application.

Make sure Steam doesn't start when your PC does.

Had issues not being able to delete folders that I supposedly didn't have permission to delete. I'm the sole user and I have admin privelages so that was bull****.
My solution was to delete internal files and folders first. Sometimes I needed to delete the files inside a folder before I could delete the actual folder. Try to delete a folder if it fails expolre it and delete everything inside. Repeat for all folders until you can remove the main folder.

I have this problem. Instead of deleting the folder, it deletes the folder's owner, and you're screwed. When I have this issue, I use the Unlocker tool, right click on the folder, unlocker, clic delete - it will say that it can't and asks if you want to delete on reboot. Agree, and reboot your computer.

Same problem. Not always with Steam games -sometimes other folders too. Seems to be a Windows 10 problem.

Don't have them installed in the programs folder. Install them elsewhere on your hard drive. A separate partition would be best.
this is why I hate steam AND windows 10. this is the type of issue you'd never have with windows 7.
