Steam Family/Friend Sharing games
How exactly does this work? If I give my friend access to my Library and he's playing Boarderlands 2 and I want to play Final Fantasy 7 does he get bounced off the game or can he play that game while I play my game?

He has 5 minutes to save and close if you want to play. The owner of the library is given priority.

Thanks. It was an article that I read it sounded like he can play and me too. That's why I was asking.

Absolutely not. That is a feature inherent in family sharing that does not allow the library to be used by two people at once.

Okay. Thanks for explaining.

I discourage family sharing unless it's actually with family. There are several very severe drawbacks to doing so, the main one being that if your "friend" gets a VAC ban, you will most likely receive one too.

Didn't know that it was that serious. I won't do it. Although I trust my friend I play most of the time and so does he so it wouldn't work out.
