Account locked due to chargeback.
My account has been locked recently due to a chargeback by my bank. (I feel this happened because later that day there were weird charges made on that card so we terminated the card.) Steam says to call the bank and reverse the chargeback, which I would happily do buy my bank says there was never a chargeback issued. I later confirmed this by looking on my eStatement. Funds were taken out but there was never a refund on my card from steam. Yet they want me to reverse a chargeback when there isn’t one to reverse. And steam has done nothing to help me in the process such as letting me purchase the game on a different card (even though I bought the game once already.) I am just worried because what I have seen from other posts is that after the 4 weeks I have to get the chargeback reversed my account will be permanently suspended which I don't want to happen. I am willing to do anything. Any other advice will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance

If you can't return the money to steam using the same payment method (by reversing the charge back) you have to contact support:

Purchases are not instant. Even though you see money deducted from your account, that's actually a pre-authorization hold. If you terminated the card the same day you made the purchase, it's likely the purchase was never completed, which is why Steam thinks you charged back the transaction.

Contact your bank and confirm if the purchase was finalized. Get in touch with Steam and explain the situation.

I already tried that. The bankl told me that due to it being a card that was terminated, they can't process the charge.

So yeah, from Steam's end that will look like a chargeback. Contact Steam and explain the situation.
