Why is wolfenstein the new order blocked in germany?
I think some germans don't want to fight against their country but still it's just a game and some germans even hate nazis.

Germans have a separate version where the swastika is replaced by the wolfenstein eagle logo.

Yes i know .

Its the german law, which makes the swastika forbidden.
For example Tropico a totally innocent game, yet is banned in Thailand due the "Junta DLC"

The game itself is still uncensored gore wise in Germany. Just all Nazi Symbols have been removed. According to the german law Nazi symbology is only allowed in a cultural product like movies, books or art. Video Games are still classified as "toys" under german law and have no cultural merit accordingly so all those symbols are not allowed to be displayed in it.
The law is very outdated by now and a lot of people have tried for years to get a change approved but no luck so far.

"Some"? About 95% of Germans hate Nazis. We dont want anything to do with that dark time nowadays. That is not the reason those games are censored.

Yes, but that doesn't change the fact that there are actual laws that ban games where you fight nazis. I have my own opinion about our government supporting such laws; your mileage may vary.

Steam only made this worse, as they have effective censoring in place. Previously, you would just buy the game elsewhere, like Austria which is right next to us.

Actually, only Swastikas in games are forbidden, movies can show them. Weird, but hey, that's the stablishment, all they didn't grow up with is evil, all they did with is art.
Anyway, I have that game as the censored version and that's actually pretty good. The replacements are pretty darn good!

Since no one wants to get on Germany's 'naughty' list of forbidden games they pre-emptively made a version for just Germany. Because no one wants to be 'that executive' that caused the biggest hit of your company to be all but unsellable in Germany.

Note since Germany has such a hard on for suing steam that probably played into their decision of "we are not taking any chances the government will sue us again because we somehow got a Nazi game into Germany"

The main problem is, that swastikas are forbidden, but allowed in art and education.
Movies are considered a form of art. Videogames are not. At least not by the government.
So far no videogame company has tried to fight that, which would be very costly.

Because he's allowed to do however he wants to.

Don't think he really owes anyone an explanation as to why.

Most likely because I've seen you spamming the forum with nonsense crap or being rude.
