Games not starting, "Preparing To Launch..." pops up, then the word syncing then nothing
As the title says. I have a few games that I have played in the last few days that don't start now. The window that says Preparing to Launch pops up, then next to the title of the game it says "Running" then it flashes "Syncing" and then nothing happens.

Beyond that, one of the games that I do get to work (Total War Warhammer) doesn't save to the Steam cloud anymore either.

I've tried most of the things in the "Steam Games not starting" discussion already, and none of them so far have worked.

I also wanted to contact Steam directly about this, but couldn't find how to make a help request ticket. Is that possible, or do they not have a customer support team that helps with stuff like this?

Thank you for any help you can give me.

I'm going to toss this regardless, even if you said you've tried most,
  • What's your antivirus?
  • Do these games run if executed from the executable directly?
  • Have these games worked previously? If so, any idea what might've changed since?
  • Have you tried manually running said games' redistributable files under [Properties > Local Files > Browse Local Files] ?
  • Are your videocard drivers up-to-date?

Well I appreciate the help. I didn't think this would matter, but apparently the last Windows update was the issue. I reverted to the previous version of windows and (so far) the games work now. That was the one thing I hadn't tried.

Thanks for the help, we'll see if they keep working, otherwise I'll try some of those suggestions (some of them I tried before, but hopefully I wont need to use them anymore haha)
