Why does my game freeze randomly and have the audio loop while freezing?

This happens to every steam game
But the thing is this doesnt happen to non steam games
I can play bf1 with no freezes

probably your hard drive might be failing or is just slow. Does booting up your pc take a long time or even doing basic tasks like opening a web browser?

Nope my pc isn't slow at all

Well then i really dont know, maybe you could try turning off the steam overlay which could be affecting it

nope turned off but still getting freezes

have you overclocked oyur cpu or gpu? if so try running the games at stock speeds

Sounds more like an issue I exclusively run into in Source -games.

Generally for a short while when switching some graphic option like resolution, or quitting the game abruptly.
