Steam failed to download (no internet connection): no source, Help????

Now I've tried literally everything, Its a steam specific issue, I know this because I can download things from other places, Steam support, have no idea and think its a network/PC issue, but I've uninstalled and re-installed steam, as soon as I cannot download any game in my library, as a result steam is now useless to me. Having a look, people (from what little I can find) have had this issue for months and the fourms have died with no fix. Any Ideas would be appreciated.


Edit: The fix of which I found, you have to switch your download region to either Brazil (any) or Vietnam (This has worked for me, however this isn't a bloody fix since steam needs to sort themselves out and allow us to download from our region)

Yah, just changed download location to Iceland and it actually worked. (I had already done a world tour of other locations with no luck.)

I live in Texas, got the error today after restarting my internet. I fixed it after deleting my download cache a million times, switching to china, vietnam, brazil, russia, africa and finally attempting to start it in offline mode and then after it wouldnt i hit the go online button and it loaded up no problems

Change region to next closest one

Same problem. Can't update games. Errors: no internet, server with data is not available, manifest cannot be downloaded.

Technical support responds with standard templates!

Only frequently pressing the "Update game" button helps
But this doesn't always work.

Servers return a 401 error code, so this is clearly a problem with Steam or Steam Servers. Consider filing a bug report instead.

as above user say, but with "Access Denied" same as kicked and not allowed ( could be a server drop and backup server should be up wintin 10minue and even faster today,
i only notice that and that was from hes log. not any previous above user then DasGrosseR you might want to reboot pc and try again 10-15minute later ( if you dont get access then steam have a glitch now. in your region or Steam DL server there.)

I've been having this error for over a week now.
Changing the region does not help.
Changing account doesn't help.
The provider checked the Internet channel, said that the problem is on the side of Steam.

Sounds like you better try reinstall steam over current , and check own system files
if steam own security see things not right then you might have own admin rights issue, hence the access deny its as server dont see you as legit whatever that is over a week that dont seem to fit even a glitch. ( do note i and other here dont work for steam, feel free to contact steam support and make ticket, ) no matter what any say here we cant check anything on a server if you somehow have rights issue, as i said look like faul play with whatever it is, dont forget as other user point out its server that reply back and you do not have access rights.

first of all I deleted the whole config file from steam then reinstalled steam. logged in.

changed to Seattle. steam started after region change and now checking game files it takes time.. updates has finally started downloading. (problem solved)

switching to brazil (any) and Vietnam also helps (searches found)

Doing everything in offline and then restarting actually solved it for me too. Almost lost my mind!!! Thank you
