So i didnt no where else to go but steam. So i have a windows 10 PC and i dont think my router matters because it works fine on a different pc. anyway i can see both my 2.4G and 5G networks but i can only connect to the 2.4G i know the passwords correct it even asks me if i wanna share the network with printers or whatever and then says "Cant connect to network" ive tried reinstalling drivers, putting commands in the cmd restarting router restarting pc, updating drivers. this was working yesterday but not today PLZ HELP

5 Ghz connections require you to be very close to the router and that there's nothing causing conflicts, compared to 2.4 Ghz where you'll have less trouble.

I have a 5 Ghz connection and it sometimes flickers on and off, though rarely.

He's not talking about mobile data, he's talking about Ghz Internet that for some reason, people shorten to 5G and 2.4G.

i have both too and can see both but can only connect to 2.5 because my wireless card only supports 2.4 ghz even though it picks up 5ghz i canot connect to it so this may be the same thing for you too

Is your router set up properly?

Here's a couple things to note:
1) Is it clearly Dual Band capable?
2) If to 1) the answer is yes, then what is set in "Preferred Band"?
3) What is the channel bandwidth (something that comes in Mhz)?
4) What type of security key have you chosen?

You'll need to access the web interface of your router (by typing your default IPv4 Gateway in your browser if it wasn't changed).
