ATDD HELP

My Amnesia the dark descent won't start because apparently it "failed to load config file"
How do I fix?

ok I did that and nothing changed.
Still fails. I then deleted every game file manually from the folders on my computer then redownloaded it. Something I'm missing?

Alright I've done evrything I can and it won't work. Ideas?

Delete the settings file in My Documents/Amnesia/ to restore the default settings and see if that helps.

I can't find the settings file. Is it under a tab somewhere I can't find?

right click Amnesia
go to properties
go to local files
the verify the integrity of the game cache
it will fix every file and repair them and put them in the right spot
wont change where you are at in the story either

Yeah for sure I've verified the files multiple times and it wont work... but I'll keep trying

Try go to documents, amnesia, main, delete a file called main settings CFG file

Ok, so I did that and tried to start it. Didn't work.
Then I verified the files and tried to start it. Didn't work. I still have no idea why this happened. One day when I reached the cistern part of the game with the oil jar and the toxic gas, I logged off because I was tired. The next day, I tried to start it up again, and I've waited weeks. Everyday I try to start it and I've experimented with deleting files and redownloading them, deleting the whole game and reinstalling it, everything. Has this ever happened before to anyone?
