Do I lose games that get pulled from Steam?
Hey guys! These days I installed the 8-Bit Bayonetta April Fools game, and while it's still on the library for my home PC, I can't really install it on my laptop. Would it be gone forever after uninstalling? Or after formatting my machine?

I extend the question for purchased games as well. Games like Crysis 2 were pulled from the store before. In these cases, does everyone lose the game? Or are the buyers given the option to re-download?

With large game libraries and pile of shames I'm not always keeping count of the games I own. I wonder if I may lose some games If I'm not too careful. Like, with iTunes, I lost some albums forever after those were removed from the store. Is Steam the same?

Thanks in advance!

To my knowledge every game that has been pulled is still available for download and play for customers who own it.

Now it may be a different case for f2p games, which im guessing the Bayonetta thing may have been?

That one is indeed f2p. That´s probably why then, makes sense. Thanks, Barf!
Input this in Edge/Explorer or your windows file browser , this will allow you to redownload bayonetta 8 bit even if the store page was taken down.

You can also use the backup/restore option if you already have 8-Bit Bayonetta installed ( optional and does work with F2P games too ) to make a backup setup to reinstall 8-Bit Bayonetta.

Yes you can. Total War Arena got yanked off of steam, and that initiated an update, which wiped it from my (and other players') system.

some games are removed and dead the ones with the use of third party client are imposible to download again and the ones with multi-player only are nonsense to download, but the single player games removed are tied to your library and you can download many times as you want, in the specific case of bayoneta maybe is because is not meant as a true game and more as a joke.
