Steam Automatically downloading a preloaded game?

This morning, I preloaded Yooka-Laylee and now it's been officially unlocked. My question is will steam automatically download the rest of the game or do I have to click on something on my computer? I've never preordered a game on steam, so I don't know how preorders and preloading a game works on steam. Thanks in advance for your help!!

Steam will not download a preloaded game unless you "load it", a button which should appear eventually.

After you preload it and the game is released, the game will require another update which will decrypt all the game files, and then you could play it.

I'm not 100% sure on this, please correct me.

I know I'm a good few years late but would this load button be where the play one normally is or it is the "restart" button on my downloads queue?
