Mic too quiet problem, I need help!
I've searched youtube and the internet for every possible solution and none of them are working. I was looking for some feedback on what might be the problem. im using a turtle beach that was originally intended for the wii u but i'm pretty sure that's not the problem because my computer was picking it up as a mic. I can also hear out of it. I need help!

If you can hear it out of your mic, then you have it in the wrong Port on your PC. Does it have two Jacks? One pink and one green?

I have two front jacks and three back jacks. the ones on the back are colored pink, blue, and green. The ones on the front aren't colored but one is for headphones and one is for microphone.

So I'm assuming the headphones only have one Jack then?

If so, my guess is that you'll need a sound card capable of splitting the signals like the Wii or the average cell phones do, or different headphones.

the mic jack and headphone jack are seperate. if that's what you're infering

Yea, then the mic should go into the pink put. If you did that, and you can hear audio out of your mic, something else is wrong at the hardware level.
Try these things. Check volume mixer for recording devices in Windows. Find your mic, check it's properties and see if mic boost is enabled and sliders are all the way up.

Check sound card drivers. Assuming you have realtek, it will be a brown speaker icon on the start bars right hand side. Make sure mic is all the way up there too.
it's odd because my mic wont show any green bars when i speak but my speakers do have green bars when i speak and i dont even have speakers, it says it called realtek high definition audio.
Then your mic is broadcasting out of the speakers for some reason. There is a check box in Windows volume mixer. Right click the gray colored speaker icon and choose recording devices, choose your mic, and see if mic boost is on, and see if listen through speaker box is checked.

you want me right click the realtek speaker?
when i try to right click on the speakers nothing shows up
Sorry for the late reply, but when you right click either icon in your system tray (box on the far right off your start bar) it should pop up a context menu.

The windows one (gray icon) it should pop up a context menu with volume mixer, recording devices, playback devices, etc. You want to check under recording devices there.

The realtek sound card drivers (brown speaker icon) should pop up a context menu but I forget what all it shows. Not much, but you want to pick properties or something along those lines. Choose the microphone tab, and check the settings there.

It's ok. i dont have an option for turning mic boost on and off all i have is the slider that control the decibals.
