Rainbow Six Siege takes days to install!?!?

I bought the game Rainbow Six Siege today for $14.99 on Steam. When I set it to install it said "estimated time to install: 5 days." I set it to install anyway, and it's been installing for about an hour and a half and still says 0% and the size of the file, and time estimated for when its done continues to change rapidly. I really need to know if this is normal, because I don't want the install to be interrupted 2 days in... Somebody help me! I don't know if my computer specs have anything to do with it, but if you need to know them, let me know...

ur ISP is what has to do with it, there's 23.7 gb to install, sounds like you have bad net.

My internet is usually okay. Is it worth letting it sit to install? or should I cancel and refund it?

definitely worth, one of the most unique fps experiences out there with deep tactical gameplay. but if your net is that bad, you should know every 1.5 months there's a pretty big update of 1-4gb.

well, 1-4gb is nowhere near as bad as 23, I'm just pretty worried about the install process being interrupted in the middle of it. I'm also concerned that I'm going to spend all this time installing and the game isn't going to end up working in the end.

getting interrupted doesn't matter, you can close out steam and re-open, etc.

I don't remember Steams refund policy, but if it does take days to install, will I still be able to refund it if it doesn't run well?

Out of curiosity, If take my computer, and jack it into my internet router with a lan cable, will it speed up the install process?

It could, but it all depends on how strong your WiFi is. If you're showing full bars on WiFi right now, it may not make that big of a difference, but if you show less than full, then it might. Won't know until you try!

Thanks for the quick reply. I am showing full bars right now, and the install is at 19% after about 15 hours or so. I guess I'll leave it and see what happens.
