Gamepad Help (A Problem That Will Cause Me To Go Mad)
so for a long while i was wishing i got a controller, and when i got one here it is: http://imgur.com/gallery/CmhQT

so the problem is that whenever i play games:
1- i cant move or anything becasue its a dpad and i want to make it work as an analog stick

2-for certain games where i can change the moving controls when i change them and press a button on the dpad it wont bind

Modern games use the XInput API which your "gamepad" can not support.
And no, you can't emulate an analog stick on a DPad.

Get a proper gamepad next and stop wasting your money on cheap junk out of the PSX era.

you think its easy to get anything u want in a third world country, that controller i got from smartbuy... the only one they have and smartbuy is one way to go about your gaming, here we dont have gamestop, bestbuy or anything like that

Well, if they only offer crap, then don't buy crap. Period.
That gamepad is rather useless, unless you want to play games from the 90s.
Especially if you are from a third world country and lack money, especially then you should buy good stuff.

As my good old grandmother said while living in bombed out ruins of WW II:
"I'm to poor to buy low quality stuff that either won't work or break soon."

You want help? Get your money back as it's impossible to get that thing to work in modern games as it lacks analog input methods.

Steam has a built-in input mapper, it's hiding in the Big Picture mode. It's settings, to be more precise. See if you have any luck with that.

He's right though. Russians say "Buying cheap is throwing away expensive" and there's a similar proverb in many other cultures. Now see, Russia is screwed economically so loads of Russians are poor. So listen to poor people when they teach you that buying cheap crap is a bad idea.
