I found this post on another Steam forums discussion "Sorry for the bump, but if this is still relevant, you can now remove the phone number from other accounts remotely.
Add your phone number to your account, then immediately after go here:
https://store.steampowered.com/phone/manage
[Remove number > Remove from all accounts]
Then add your phone number back." ( https://steamcommunity.com/discussions/forum/1/357287935563294887/ )
However when I go to this page and press remove number I only get "How would you like to reset your phone?
Enter Steam Guard code from my Mobile Authenticator
I no longer have access to my Steam Guard Mobile Authenticator"
Was the feature to remove the phone number from other accounts without accessing them deleted?
You must have access to each account to remove the number from those accounts.
Login access. It can only be done from within the account settings.
There really should be a way to force all accounts using a specific phone number to re-verify that number. Any accounts that can't, get the number dropped from their account settings.
Either that, or we need to re-verify it every so often like we do with our email address. And this would get a lot of hate so the former idea is probably the better one.
