Can't you find your old ticket? You should have gotten an email about how to check up on the ticket.

You should be able to update your old ticket instead of making a new one. A new one would not speed up anything.

There is no phone or email, only the ticket system. Have you tried self-recovering your account?
i had the email but my email account was hacked. I have sinced changed my password and setup a recovery phone number on my email account. all my emails were deleted including the original ticket email. I am so lost. I keep trying to use my cd keys to create a new ticket through the automated system but it will not let me.

You should be able to get a new ticket email somehow.

Anyway, this is because your mistake of contacting support while still getting hacked... They warn you about this.

Are you sure your PC is virus free and that they lost access to your old email?

There is a reason Steam tells you to secure your PC before attempting to recover your account. Before doing anything else, ensure your PC is completely free of malware (even if that means formatting and reinstalling Windows) and secure your email.

Create a new Steam account, open a ticket through there, explain the situation in the ticket.
I shut down my computer once the account was comprimised and went to my spare computer used for backups. i only access my email via my iphone. have scanned and run tests on my main machine and come up with nothing. Seen no evidence of issues on my phone, and havent been able to find anything online about Iphone issues like this. anyway, i will try submitting a ticket from this temp account.
it says i need to log out of this temp account and go to account recovery, which takes me to the exact same place i have been trying... this is so frustrating..
Go to account recovery, enter the new account name instead of old, explain that this is about your old account in the ticket. Explain that you lost access to your email but have since recovered it.

Are you sure you can't somehow get your ticket email resent? What are your options when you get that "you already have a ticket". Do you use the same email you did for the original ticket to do that?

Also are you sure that the hacker didn't mess up your ticket somehow..
created a temp gmail account and submitted a new ticket explaining the issue.
it just says a ticket is already open Forcen and thats it, X to close the window. without the original reference code i cannot link to the open ticket. hopefully this temp account to recover it works.
thanks Habitualaction. didnt think to try it this way.
