Steam Voice Call has ~3 second delay/lag.
I've searched the net for a solution, everything so far is dead by a couple years. I'm trying to get lag free voice comms with my brother. We live 2500 miles apart but we are both at least 30 mb/s down and 6 mb/s up. I use an Ethernet cable, no wireless interference.

The other thing that's weird is I say something, it takes 3 seconds to reach him but he replied instantly and it's sent to me instantly. The only delay occurs is when I speak to him, it takes 3 seconds for him to receive it. WTF?!?!?

Steam's voice chat is basic. It's there if you can't be bothered to find any of the other free services such as teamspeak, discord, ventrilo, skype, google voice, or other things.

So it being 3 seconds behind at that large of a distance is no real surprise.

I mean, it's never delayed for me.... with the exception of Gotham Knights. Clearly there's something other than the chat being basic.
