How do I download the original version of Dead Island?

So from what I've seen, this

is a remake of the original version that was released in 2011. My PC isn't good enoght for the definitive edition, but is there any way how I can get my hands on the original one?

I'm guessing you would have to buy a hard copy of the game as it is not available on Steam.

Having bought the original version, from either the store itself or a retail copy...that's the only way you can download it.

The original installment was pulled from the store.
