Logitech G920
None of the racing games on Steam recognise my wheel and pedals. My wheel is a Logitech G920 but it's not listed in detected devices and when I press the accelerator pedal nothing happens. Any ideas?

Go to controls ingame and set them yourself manually.

What games don't support the Logitech g920? I play a lot of racing games and most newer games will auto detect your wheel. Logitech is probably the most used wheel brand out there. I use a fanatech and haven't found a game that doesn't support it. As others have said though you can just go into the wheel key bindings in game and set everything manually.

First though are you sure your wheel is being detected by windows? If not you may need to download drivers and software and possibly even firmware. When I switched to w10 I had to download new firmware for my wheel to work.

and don't keep other controllers plugged in. Only plug in what you are going to use for said game, prior to launching it. And check the device is detected/working by bring up JOY.CPL in Windows OS.

I'm suddenly having the same issue. Recently added the shifter, but can't see why that would matter. In any event, the wheel used to work fine in Steam, is detected by windows (shows up in joy.cpl as per above for example), and shows up in the Logitech software (all my Steam games show up there as well). The wheel was working fine, but now none of my racing/wheel games (ATS2, ETS2, Asetto Corsa, various Dirt Games, including Rally which I purchased very recently) no longer work. That is to say, the Logitech G920 is not detected by any of these games. I''m stuck and appreciate any advice.

Ok, wish I could give the right person credit for this, but I did so much digging around trying to figure this out I lost track of where I found it. In any event, going into Big Picture and in the Controller section, unchecking 'generic controller' fixed the issue. All my games now see the wheel, Putting this here in case it helps others. Cheers.

Dude thank you so much. I have been up and down the internet for the last month and a half installing this and uninstalling that, their tech support even sent me a whole new wheel and pedals for free and now I have 2 because they thought it was a hardware issue. Nobody EVER said anything about having to use big picture mode. WOW, I can't believe this...

How come when testing the profiles in LGS, it doesn't show any inputs for moving the wheel or pedals? This is what led me to believe there was a software issue, because in "Devices and Printers" the calibrations for the pedals and wheel worked fine.

Check if Steam Client is Updated; if you are opt'ed into Steam Beta via Client Settings > Account, try turning that off; then once Steam changes back the version / updates; try your Controller + Games once again. Sometimes Steam glitches and I have to go into BPM, turn everything on again for Controllers; exit Steam fully; then go back to BPM and disable it all once again.

I know this is an old thread, but ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ it took me a while to figure out what was going on.

And then this fixed it out of the blue. No wonder it seemed to start and stop without any sort of correlation - I never would have imagined that those two things would be connected. Too bad you can't customize profiles in Steam big picture - imagine how much that would help with older games that don't have explicit support for it.
