Steam ID changed from 4 digit to 8 digit

I haven't played on this account for awhile, but it seems as if steam created another account (8 digit), which I can access using my account's username/pw of my 4 digit account. The 4 digit account I cannot access. They are separate accounts as the 4 digit account says I have not logged in for a few years, viewing using steam profiles.

My 8 digit account is:
STEAM_1:0:19931246
My 4 digit account is:
STEAM_0:0:1752

I can only use the 8 digit account, with my username/pw associated with the 4 digit account. What is going on here?

Sure it's not the same account just two different ID's? It looks like a newer type when it has a 1 at the start there.

You actually got a two kinds according to the websites who knows this.

I bet that old one is one that they don't use anymore. Got it wrong.

That is what I mean. I only have two accounts, my main account, and this account that is in question. Maybe instead of actually retrieving my account, they just made an identical account, but with a different steam id.

Or its maybe more likely you're logging into the wrong account

Steam is not going to 'mix up' your IDs. Your steam ID and account name are unique. Thye don't swap things around

ANd yes I am going to reiterate. You are logged into the wrong account.
