How to change you state of residence?

I am an Oregonian, we do not have sales tax. I am visiting some people out of state in Washington state, I normally do not have to pay taxes with my steam purchases, but on this last purchase it was about to make me. Is there any way I can provide proof of residency of Oregon so I can make purchases while I am visiting out of state if my place of perminent residency is out of state?

AFAIK no, the store location options has country-granularity not state-granularity.

IP address. I am a Washington resident and have to pay almost 10% sales tax on all Steam store purchases for the past 12 years so am used to it.

Unfortunately, since it is IP based, you can't just show your Oregon drivers license like you can in physical stores here.

I have cleared my HTML cache by using the 'Clear Download Cache' function in steam and nothing changed. Am I looking in the wrong area? Everything I find on the internet is for PCs and I'm on mac.

the taxes that are being added are ip based(geo location) and can not(should not) be bypassed if you are in a state that requires taxes on digital purchases.

I am not in that state anymore, but for some reason it is trying to tax me.

I am no longer in Washington state, I am in Oregon right now. We do not have sales tax here and normally on purchases through steam I do not have sales taxes either. Also, I am on wifi right now.
