why do i lag in player unknown battlegrounds?

Yes it's your monitor, your aspect ratio is 21:9 so its not 1920x1080 (1080p) its much higher so your GPU is working even harder pushing out more pixels. most likely you are on 2560x1080 (1080 ultrawide) so your gpu 1060 which is just touches high end gpus would struggle to muster 60fps on this game as it demands a lot of resource because it has amazing visuals, etc

Yeah like ARK was supposed to be "optimized" with time. Oh wait its still a laggy piece of crap 2 years after EA release.

I have bad lag issues (not low fps) with 2 980 GTX's in SLI on a Acer 4K monitor. I know it's not yet optimized but the lag is horrible. Moved from 4K with Ultra to 4K with medium settings and no change. Sigh...

I have had random FPS drops in this game even though my specs currently support. Recent patches have fixed most of it though. Perhaps consider waiting
