How to make a .gif on your Steam background?

Ive seen some people having one big picture across whole Steam profile page, and then in the middle it would be an 'Artwork showcase' and in that showcase it would some form of .gif, e.g. rain dropping, snow, music equaliser, I want to do something similar, but can somebody please tell me how do I put a .gif on top of the default's Steam background picture?

use ezgif to make a gif and display it using your artwork showcase. on my profile I've done this but did something different in only animating the smaller windows.

I already know how to upload a .gif and put it on in the Artwork showcase, but what I dont know is how to create a .gif on top of the default's Steam profile background

Well, first, you need to crop the background using this tool. https://steam.design/

Then make a gif using the center portion.

it is possible since I've seen it on other's profiles. and this answers is for a gif in the center portion. what if I want to make a gif using both the center and right portion all synced together?
