Have you used the Steam Backup Feature?
Have you manually copied the game folder?
If it's the latter, did you copy the appmanifest ACF file for Nier as well?
-Manually copy-pasting the whole near folder into common folder, over writting the old unfinished files. Didn't work.
-Copy pasting the files in the downloading folder in steamapps, it still starts at 0% download and just downloads everything any way even though all the files are present in the folder.
Is it different from the appmanifest file from my PC at home and the PC at work? Let me get this straight, I need to copy the Nier game from my work pc to my home pc via steamapps>common>NieRAutomata and also copy the appmanifest from pc work pc to my home pc?
Yes
Alright, I will try Shanqs and the backup function tomorrow. Whichever works would be good.
But I've never tried it before, are there any downside to it?
When you then try to install the game on your home PC, the steam client will start from 0% just like you saw, but it will then discover that the files are already there.
It will then simply verifiy that the files are correct, counting up the % as it goes, which is much faster than downloading the whole thing.
