Download speeds
Is Steam limited on there download speeds? I have true gig fiber optic and speed test shows 938mps download and 970mps upload but no matter which sever I chose Steam only downloads at 12.5mps max.

im not 100% so dont take my word but it might i always get the same download speed even tho my internet is pretty fast i have 100mb speed and always go no higher then 4.6 download on steam

97mb/s = pretty close to 12.5MB/s... are you sure you aren't mixing the two up?

Shouldn't see any throttling from Steam.

You should also take into account Internet peak hours for were you live and try and download when people are at Work/School or in Bed.
