If you happen to be in Australia there's something stuffed with the Australian servers right now. Swap to a foreign one.

I have been cursing at my pc for an hour and almost was getting ready to get physical with my pc when I decided to check these forums...Thankfully after changing the download region from Aus to NZ, my downloads are back to normal! Cheers!

Out of curiousity, could you advise where is best to find out information when these server issues arise?
Thankfully you have resolved my game update woes! Now connected to China for my game updates at full throttle :D

I prefer to use steamstat.us but really any site that shows the current server bandwidths and loads are great :)
