Do you get the pre order skin packs if you are gifted a game

Hi, my brother gifted me a game which comes with a preorder skin pack. i notived that i havent recieved the skin pack yet as part of the Dawn of war 3 pre order bonus. Is this because it is a gift or because you get it whn the game is released. i was trying to contact steam support but it seems to be a endless maze in which i cannot create a ticket. Quite frustrated to how difficult it is to get help with any issues.

No, it's because the game hasn't been released yet.


This how pre orders work. You don’t get in game items until the game is released. Whether the game is gifted to you or not is irrelevant.
