Steam won't download anything, it keeps cancelling my download for absolutely no reason
I'm trying to re-download Dota 2 and the download continues to get cancelled. It has nothing to do with my internet because I can access any page just fine at any time. I click on the download to keep going and it doesn't even last as long as a second, it goes right back to queue. I even uninstalled steam and re-installed it (a dumb ass mistake, because I had no idea Dota 2 would be uninstalled and now I'm stuck with this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥), and it fixed it for about 5 minutes before it went back to this. Any help would be appreciated.

Happened to me too but now it's fine , here are some solutions that might help you out...

1. In the steam client , click on STEAM > SETTINGS > DOWNLOADS , Change the download region to a different country , then try to download again.

2. The same as #1 but this time you don't need to change the download region , instead , press on CLEAR DOWNLOAD CACHE.

3. In the main file of steam , delete every file except for
- steam.exe
- userdata
- steamapps
after that restart your computer and let steam update again.

4. if everything still didn't work go to task manager by pressing alt + ctrl + del
then go to processes , there should be a file there that says USC (i forgot the name) ,
click the name then press end process , if that didn't work , search for something that's eating a lot of MEMORY in the PROCESSES tab ,it should be the main reason why you can't download / update / install games because it's eating too much ram , then press END PROCESS again.

That's about all i know , i'm sorry if none of the solutions worked.

I decided to just close steam a bunch of times and it seems to have just about stopped the nonsense for now, but I'm still gonna try to do what you said just to prevent it from happening again. Thanks.
