But yeah, it might give them a general idea of where you live (what country, maybe state/city but it won't put them on your doorstep) but you've seen those things that hold signs telling you about your computer, right? This is all stuff your computer has to send out. IP addresses and what browser you're using are going out to all the websites you visit. It's not a password of any sort. It's like your house address, except for your computer and not your house, so people can show up on your computer but if they don't have a key (user password) or you don't let them in (hosting a server of some sort), they can't really do much.
basically you're fine it's not a security risk, the "yes it's dangerous" person is a troll or doesn't know what they're talking about
You have nothing to worry about. Simply block them and move on. If they're breaking any Steam rules, report them.
