"Oops, sorry!" Steam - News
Oops, sorry!
An error was encountered while processing your request:

There was an error displaying this message

I get this message almost all the time! Everytime steam wants to let me know about its specials by prompting me the Steam news window, i sift through a few and 9/10 times one of them is the above message!

what the hell is this?

Sometimes you just have to restart steam to make it work.

i'm having the same problem. only started recently.
and, restarting Steam doesn't help because the specials window only appears once.
suggest patience. i have no problems at all PC or connectivity wise except for this Steam News issue so suspect it will resolve itself or be resolved soon enough. those news update windows are just fluff anyway. go to the store.

It's 2/3 of the games just have "oops sorry"
Can't find a fix!

Same, probably not an issue on our end though.

Been getting this problem for about a month as well.

same here, steam is being weird... maybe some country/language bugs

Yep, same here - except it's around half of the items in my News window. I assumed it's because there are specials, or even entire products that aren't available in my country (they really should write "the product or service you requested isn't available in your country" into the Australian national anthem), and someone screwed up the code that stops the News window trying to display them.

Same here. Over 50% of them are this message. On both my home computer and my work computer. Only the last couple months.

Little late to the party, but I'm guessing we've landed on "Valve dun goofed again". Well, on the off-chance someone finds out it isn't actually some problem on Valve's side (for once), let us know if ya find a solution. :D

Not exactly the worst problem in the world, but is kinda annoying only seeing one deal/ offer, between about five "Oops!" messages. And yeah, that is after a Steam restart... :steamfacepalm:

Ever since the newer design rolled out, there's been a few issues such as those. At least it's not like the occurrences prior where it'd be an old cached 2004-2006 Steam green one.

I got 4/6 oopses today.
Archon286 Mar 22, 2017 @ 7:30pm
Yeah, here too. Just adding wood to the fire, hopefully someone will notice. Win10, Insider Fast Ring. They are *literally* the only popup ads I don't hate, and they're broken. lol.

I got 8/8 oops sorry messages. Win 10 x64. (UK)
