Is there a Problem with Steam in that that they have to update every ten minutes?
Anybody else notice this. You are playing a game and you lose control of your mouse because Steam constantly updates. It is not like once a day, or once when you log in to start a gaming session. They update every ten minutes or so spoiling your game.
Heck, on my com, puter I just turn it on and Steam updates... even if I am not gaming at that moment.
Am I nuts or is there m ore of you out there annoyed be constant updates that may or may not have any redeeming value for my particular purposes.
Tell me to shut up if I am wrong... but I cannot be the only one.

That is an intersting point of view. Maybe my anti-virus is causing a conflict. Thank you. How often does steam update on your machine?

I think my last update was about a month ago now.

Sounds like maybe it isn't updating correctly. Do you have write permissions for Steam's install folder? It may think it installed, but it didn't so later it tries to check and you still have an old version.
Either not updating properly or your PC is full of viruses LOL. I can't even remember when my steam last updated (I do actually it was about a month ago)
