HOW do I change my birthday on account?
I dont know if it even asks for birthday, but when I check certain games in STORE, it auto puts a birtday of July 8 1945

i dont know if its because I used that on other games on purpose or if its my birthday when I made the account..

if it auto uses my birthday, how can I change it?

I think that once you put in a date of birth the first time into the store it just remembers it for that account/pc.

I notice when browsing store on my phone it asks me for my date of birth again despite my pc version auto remembering it.

ya because the PC remembers the birthday "locally" on the PC, it's not really Steam remembering it. It saves a file on your computer that remembers it.

But that birthday isn't a big deal anyways. loads of people just do Jan 1st of whatever the oldest year is. It's meaningless.. except to say if you are over 18 or not. So.. the OP has no reason really to need to change it. Valve doesn't use that "birthday" for anything associated with the account or account recovery.

Sorry to resurrect an ancient thread, but it seems that Steam does save the date internally now. I have attempted from multiple devices to change my birth date, but it always remembers it as January 25 instead of June 25, no matter what device I use now, and it's synced across everything. That being said, it is still not really useful other than to verify that you are an adult viewing adult content (or at least that you say you are).

Mine is very similar. It's always January instead of July for me. The day and year are always right tho. Very annoying but it still validates my age sufficiently.

As far as I know the age saved for age verification is only used for that purpose.

This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
