Can I use Steam Wallet for a part of a purchase?
I want to buy a $25 golden eagle pack for War Thunder. But I cant see a method to pay a part of it with steam wallet. I want to put the rest of my steam wallet ($10) into it and then pay the rest. How do I do this?

Do I have to put my credit card info in first?

u need to change ur payment method...
Have you recently requested a refund? If so, the wallet funds may be pending, and cannot be immediately spent.

I have requested a refund some time ago.. but the wallet funds are not pending anymore.
I see. It appears Steam has changed how wallet funds work, in that they are automatically applied (you can't choose not to spend them.) My bad, you can click "Back" to choose not to spend Steam wallet funds. When I attempt a purchase which exceeds my wallet funds, I am taken directly to a page which says

Your Steam Wallet balance is too low to cover this transaction!
The following forms of payment may be used as a secondary payment method.

And it then contains a list of alternate payment methods. Is the same true for you?

It tells me to enter my credit card info first and then select coninue...maybe I need to do that?
There is no text above that telling you that your Steam wallet balance is too low, and asking you to pick a second method to cover the remaining cost (with the cost listed at the end of the message?)

If so, do you see the wallet funds on this page:
https://store.steampowered.com/account/

No, I have to select Visa, there is no option for Steam Wallet at first.

I'm clicking the blue button, it drops down a bar with payment methods. I click more methods, Steam Wallet isnt in there.

If you proceed to checkout without enough wallet funds it will force you to add some way to pay for the rest of it. Any of the drop down options available to you.

After that it'll go to the normal checkout page where you can change to full card/paypal if you so desire or switch to another card.

So i'm guessing I put my credit card info in then press the "continue" button and then there will be a option to pay part of it with Steam Wallet?
