Credit Card Verification

When im able to use the community market again, will steam still want me to verify my credit card?

After 5 days, you will be able to use the market again regardless of whether you have verified the card or not. You should expect to receive this restriction each time you use an unverified payment method. Wallet codes should not cause this restriction.

The exact method Steam uses to determine whether a payment method will trigger this restriction isn't public. There are many cases of users posting that a payment method they have used in the past without issue now requires verification.

All I can tell you is that any time you use an unverified payment method, you should expect to receive this restriction. That does not mean you will, but it's best to be prepared to wait the 5 days.

Wallet codes cannot be verified, and so will not cause this restriction.

No, it cannot. You should ask permission from your father before attempting to verify. The support article in my first post explains the process. You require access to the credit card's transaction history, which you will not have as you do not own the card.
