Activating Keys as gifts?

I have some game keys that I purchased through Humble Bundle. I'd love to gift them through steam and be able to trade the ones my friends don't want. Is there any way to activate a steamkey and get it into your inventory?

Nope.

There's a gift option on HumbleBundle before you redeem the keys though.

Otherwise, you can just send your friend the key(s).

Keys do not turn into inventory gifts. When the key is used, the game will be added directly to your library. You can click the gift box icon to the right of the "Redeem on Steam" button to create a gift link you can give to your friends.
