How is that possible?
Now if you got the controller detected by steam you should be able to just minimize the steam big picture and it will controll the desktop. Right stick is mouse for example. Screenshot: https://i.imgur.com/zXBZIxe.jpg
You can edit this if you want:
go up one and go to "controller configurations" and select desktop with the controller connected and there you go. Edit the buttons there.
You can do the same for any game, play mouse only games with your controller.
I've already tried that, but it doesn't work for me.
