Game invites are not working

So me and my friend are trying to play TF2 together, its worked before, then, just all of a sudden, it stops working. We click on start party, invite. Then invite each other, but nothing happens. No notification no nothing. We've both restarted steam. Restarted PC's. Checked for corrupt files in TF2. Nothing. We tried CS:GO, it worked. Maybe because it has a different invite system. I don't know. I just need some help. Its really bugging us.

Is there already something known on this? My wife has the same issue. She can receive my invite tho.

Make sure that Game Details are set to "friends only" or "public"

New privacy settings. If someone people haven't changed this yet, it may cause problems inviting others as you're not being shown as ingame, therefore the invite doesn't work.

Only 1 person needs to set the correct setting, because invite only works if you're shown ingame. People that don't have this privacy setting still can accept invites. Not sure if steam is bugged with the TF2 party mode with this new setting. You should go to TF2 forums for that.

It was reported as a bug by a developer and they're aware of this.

Nonetheless, attempt to change your privacy settings as specified above.
